Vetenskapliga fakta Om Kvicksilver & Amalgamfyllningar
  1. Amalgamfyllningar innehåller ca 50% kvicksilver

  2. Kvicksilver har i vetenskapliga undersökningar visat sig vara giftigare än bly, kadmium och även arsenik.

  3. Kvicksilver frigöres från amalgamfyllningar kontinuerligt.(7)

  4. Kvicksilver är cytotoxiskt, dvs. det dödar celler.

  5. Kvicksilverånga är den viktigaste formen av kvicksilver som frigöres från amalgamfyllningar.(31)

  6. Kvicksilverånga absorberas till 80% i lungorna och tas upp av blodet.(31,55)

  7. Det finns ingen oskadlig nivå vid exponering för kvicksilverånga.(63)

  8. Kvicksilverånga absorberas direkt in i hjärnan.(34,55a)

  9. När kvicksilver frigöres från amalgam stiger kvicksilvernivåerna långsamt i de inre organen.(20,26,34)

  10. Kvicksilver försämrar immunförsvaret snabbt. (27,34,35,42,43,44,45,46,47,48,60)

  11. Kvicksilver kan framkalla olika autoimmuna sjukdomar. (27,34,35,42,43,44,60)

  12. Kvicksilver från amalgam lagras i huvudsak i njurar, lever, och hjärnan. (1,20,31)

  13. Kvicksilver från amalgam förorsakar njurskada i djurförsök.(59)

  14. Kvicksilver från amalgam kan förorsaka en 50% minskning av njur filtrationen, vilket visats i en studie på får efter amalgaminsättning.(59)

  15. Metylkvicksilver är giftigare än metalliskt kvicksilver.

  16. Kvicksilver från amalgam metyleras i munhålan.(51,53,54)

  17. Kvicksilver från amalgam (visat i djurförsök) kan göra bakterier i munnen och matsmältningsorganen resistenta mot kvicksilver och antibiotika.(58)

  18. Kvicksilvernivåerna i hjärnan är direkt linjärt proportionella till antalet amalgamfyllningsytor i munhålan.(1,19,25)
